Be careful of guilds which are not upfront with how they want other players to play. It is good to know what demands leaders have in mind or like this forum have placed rules into the mix. For example when joining a guild leaders do have power over other people by threatening to evict them from the group. It is a very real power trip and can actually be enforced depending on the area of the game being played. For that reason I attempt to stay away from overly aggressive or those types which consider themselves the authority on how the game is to be played and just carry on the way that I wish to play.Īs a player I too have witnessed pressure to conform to someone else's idea of what Forge of Empires is suppose to be about. You are correct in your concerns because there is a narrow margin between asking other players to contribute and demanding with consequences what they need to do. One example is the observatory which adds goods to the guild treasury. It does not make sense in my mind to demand that there be 8 great buildings in a city though having some great buildings will add benefits to the guild.
